Educational Tours and Workshops

Open to School pupils and Care Farming clients

Woodland Wednesdays and Forest Fridays are educational access days.

A forest guide will meet you at the woodland entrance and lead your group on a tour which is relevant to all STEM subjects or specific subjects, depending on your requirements.

The two hour tour of the enchanting woodland includes practical demonstrations and moments of rest.

We host annual community education days and open days which are free to attend.

Since 2022 Fattingpark Copse has sent delegates to the Isle of Wight County Show to demonstrate and teach thousands of children and adults how to cleave Ash logs using traditional tools.

2024 saw the first year Fattingpark Copse representatives attended the Island's Education Day, where we introduced forestry equipment to hundreds of children from over a dozen different Island Schools. We hope to make this an annual occurrence.
